Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria Yu Dunhai Meets with Commandant General of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps, Ahmed Audi

On October 8, 2026, Yu Dunhai, Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria, met with Ahmed Audi, Commandant General of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps.

Ambassador Yu noted that, under the strategic guidance of the heads of state of both countries, the China-Nigeria Comprehensive Strategic Partnership has entered a fast track, with economic and trade cooperation and people-to-people exchanges between the two nations growing increasingly close. China has consistently required all Chinese citizens in Nigeria to abide by local laws and regulations and conduct business in compliance with the law, and also hopes that the Nigerian side to safeguard the security and legitimate rights and interests of Chinese enterprises, projects, and citizens in Nigeria, and promote the sustained, high-quality development of China-Nigeria relations.

Ahmed expressed gratitude to the Chinese side for the support of NSCDC’s work and stated his willingness to strengthen law enforcement cooperation between Nigeria and China. He pledged to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese citizens in Nigeria in accordance with the law and to help elevate cooperation between the two countries in all fields to a new level.
